What is generation charge?

Is the com­pos­ite cost of power gen­er­ated and sold to Davao del Sur Elec­tric Coop­er­a­tive by the National Power Corporation-Generating Com­pany (NPC-GENCO), Inde­pen­dent Power Pro­duc­ers (IPPs).

What is Transmission charge?

Is the cost charged by the National Trans­mis­sion Cor­po­ra­tion (TransCo) for trans­mit­ting power from the gen­er­a­tion source to the receiv­ing point of DASURECO.

What is System Loss charge?

It is the elec­tric­ity used up (lost) in the dis­tri­b­u­tion sys­tem for deliv­er­ing power from DASURECO’s receiv­ing point to the consumer’s meter­ing point. This rep­re­sents both tech­ni­cal and non-​technical sys­tem losses.

What is Distribution charge?

Is the cost of build­ing, oper­at­ing and main­tain­ing the dis­tri­b­u­tion sys­tem of DASURECO, which brings power from high-​voltage trans­mis­sion grids, to com­mer­cial and indus­trial estab­lish­ments, and to res­i­den­tial end-​users.

What is Supply charge?

Is the cost of ren­der­ing ser­vice to cus­tomers, such as, billing, col­lec­tion, cus­tomer assis­tance and asso­ci­ated services.

What is Metering charge?

Is the cost of meter­ing, read­ing, oper­a­tion and main­te­nance of power meter­ing facil­i­ties. The “Meter­ing Charge” does not refer to the cost of meter read­ing alone. This charge rep­re­sents costs asso­ci­ated with the pro­cure­ment, cal­i­bra­tion, test­ing, oper­a­tion and main­te­nance of meters. It also includes the cost of labor, super­vi­sion, equip­ment, allo­cated space, etc., used in the pro­cure­ment, cal­i­bra­tion, oper­a­tion and main­te­nance of meters.

What is Lifeline Subsidy Discount?

Is a social­ized pric­ing mech­a­nism approved by the ERC for mar­gin­al­ized end-​users. Res­i­den­tial cus­tomers con­sum­ing an aver­age of less than 3.34 kWh per day equiv­a­lent to 100 kWh or less based on a 30-​day month period are eli­gi­ble to this dis­count. The dis­count is applied only to the gen­er­a­tion, trans­mis­sion, dis­tri­b­u­tion, sup­ply, meter­ing and sys­tems loss charges.

What is Inter-Class Cross Subsidy charge?

This is charged to Indus­trial, Com­mer­cial, Pub­lic Build­ing and Street Lights to ease the cost of the Res­i­den­tial member-​consumers.

What is Universal Charges?

This charge rep­re­sents stranded costs such as:

Mis­sion­ary Elec­tri­fi­ca­tion Charge – This charge is used to fund the elec­tri­fi­ca­tion of remote areas not con­nected to the trans­mis­sion system.

Envi­ron­men­tal Charge – This is used for the reha­bil­i­ta­tion and oper­a­tion of the water­shed areas.
