What is generation charge?
Is the composite cost of power generated and sold to Davao del Sur Electric Cooperative by the National Power Corporation-Generating Company (NPC-GENCO), Independent Power Producers (IPPs).
What is Transmission charge?
Is the cost charged by the National Transmission Corporation (TransCo) for transmitting power from the generation source to the receiving point of DASURECO.
What is System Loss charge?
It is the electricity used up (lost) in the distribution system for delivering power from DASURECO’s receiving point to the consumer’s metering point. This represents both technical and non-technical system losses.
What is Distribution charge?
Is the cost of building, operating and maintaining the distribution system of DASURECO, which brings power from high-voltage transmission grids, to commercial and industrial establishments, and to residential end-users.
What is Supply charge?
Is the cost of rendering service to customers, such as, billing, collection, customer assistance and associated services.
What is Metering charge?
Is the cost of metering, reading, operation and maintenance of power metering facilities. The “Metering Charge” does not refer to the cost of meter reading alone. This charge represents costs associated with the procurement, calibration, testing, operation and maintenance of meters. It also includes the cost of labor, supervision, equipment, allocated space, etc., used in the procurement, calibration, operation and maintenance of meters.
What is Lifeline Subsidy Discount?
Is a socialized pricing mechanism approved by the ERC for marginalized end-users. Residential customers consuming an average of less than 3.34 kWh per day equivalent to 100 kWh or less based on a 30-day month period are eligible to this discount. The discount is applied only to the generation, transmission, distribution, supply, metering and systems loss charges.
What is Inter-Class Cross Subsidy charge?
This is charged to Industrial, Commercial, Public Building and Street Lights to ease the cost of the Residential member-consumers.
What is Universal Charges?
This charge represents stranded costs such as:
Missionary Electrification Charge – This charge is used to fund the electrification of remote areas not connected to the transmission system.
Environmental Charge – This is used for the rehabilitation and operation of the watershed areas.
